Hakim Jones is a lifelong resident, proud husband, father and homeowner in the Norristown community.  He has been a dedicated public servant for close to 20 years where his experience ranges in a variety of areas including Youth Workforce Development, Home and School Truancy, Nonprofit leadership and Mental Health Services. He most recently served 7 years on the Norristown Municipal Council where he never missed a meeting and took much pride in his voter record that best reflected the needs of the community.  Public safety, quality of life, youth recreation and economic empowerment were key areas of focus during his tenure and much has been accomplished in those areas.

Hakim Jones has spent his career positively impacting generations of Norristown families. His past and present work in Government, Education, Nonprofits and Mental Health have allowed him to earn the trust of the community while helping many reach their goals and accomplish their dreams.  He would bring a wealth of knowledge along with many resources to the position. His past and present work with the Montgomery County Workforce Investment Board, Montgomery County Emergency Services, Norristown Area School District and the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit has allowed him earn the trust of many while assisting them in reaching self-sufficiency within their personal lives and community as a whole.
